Sounding an alarm for the public to stop eating Pacific Ocean seafood, the LA Times reports Monday that the West Coast sardine crash could radiate throughout the ecosystem.
"If sardine populations don't recover soon, experts warn, the West Coast's marine mammals, seabirds and fishermen could suffer for years," the L.A. Times reported Monday.
This suffering is why Dr. Helen Caldicott has referred to the Fukushima nuclear event as "Destroyer of Worlds."
"Almost two years after a natural disaster ravaged a Japanese nuclear plant, Bluefin tuna that test positive for radiation poisoning continue to be caught off the coast of California," Russia Today reported a year ago.
Tuna caught off San Diego with the Fukushima cesium isotopes were 10 to 20 times lower than they had been off Japan.
"Now the new releases, the leak from the tanks - they’re changing in character. Strontium 90 has become of more concern because it’s a bone-seeking isotope. That will stay in fish much longer,” stated senior marine chemist Ken Buesseler.
